InSight Mentoring Program

  • Our InSight Mentoring Program is a three-year outreach program where Mentors provide intensive support to Winnipeg Indigenous women who are pregnant and/or have had a baby within the last 12 months.
  • InSight is a voluntary, evidence-based outreach program which provides support services to pregnant and post-natal women who are living with addiction (alcohol and/or substance) and would benefit from connections to community resources.

Support and Advocacy

InSight will provide the following supports and advocacy:

  • Referrals to addiction supports.
  • Access to prenatal and infant care.
  • Assistance with child custody, personal safety, income security housing, harm reduction, and family planning.
  • Support in setting and achieving personal goals.

Criteria

InSight provides services to women who:

  • Are pregnant or have given birth within the last 12 months.
  • Are 18 years of age or older.
  • Are living with challenging life circumstances and are not well connected with community service.
  • Are voluntarily involved in the program.
  • Self-identify as being of Indigenous origin.
